About the role
We are seeking experienced Kiel Canal pilots to contribute to the review of a new navigation guide for an established range of Passage Planning Guides. The consultants will join a 2-day expert workgroup, providing practical, current insight into navigation and pilotage through the Kiel Canal and helping ensure the publication reflects real-world operational experience. Candidates should be current or recently serving Kiel Canal pilots with experience in either NOK1 or NOK2 pilotage districts, strong knowledge of Kiel Canal navigation and pilotage, practical understanding of operational challenges, and excellent English communication skills. The workgroup is intended to include representation from both NOK1 and NOK2, with approximately 3-4 experts selected.
