About the role

For a leading maritime service provider in Zeeland, we are seeking a Technical Superintendent. The organization specializes in towage, port assistance, salvage operations, and maritime support, with a modern fleet serving safe and efficient vessel movements in ports and coastal waters. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical management of several vessels in the fleet, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues from the crew and ensuring maintenance, repairs, and dockings are planned and carried out efficiently. You will monitor vessel technical condition, manage maintenance budgets, keep technical documentation up to date, and contribute to improvements in installations and systems while working closely with crew, suppliers, and internal departments. The role requires MBO+/HBO level working and thinking ability in a technical or maritime direction, at least 5 years of relevant experience as a chief engineer or in a similar technical position, and knowledge of maritime regulations, class requirements, and technical installations. Dutch and English language skills are required. Salary depends on experience and ranges from €5,200 to €6,675, with benefits including a pension scheme, partial remote work, gym cost compensation, collective health insurance, a bicycle plan, the option to buy or sell vacation days, training and development opportunities, and an informal working environment.
