Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Designer for a 12-month contract based in Fawley. The role requires strong brownfield oil and gas experience and site-based work in a large-scale industrial environment. Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, producing conceptual layouts, surveys, and detailed design drawings, preparing material take-offs, self-checking outputs, and supporting compliance with schedules, budgets, standards, and safety requirements. Requirements include strong 2D design skills with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, proficiency with MS Office, ability to interpret technical drawings, knowledge of electrical and control/instrumentation installations in hazardous areas, strong communication and teamworking skills, and a certificate or diploma in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Design/Drafting with at least 10 years of relevant drafting experience. Additional experience with 3D modelling systems, SmartPlant Instrumentation, site surveys, construction support, commissioning, and instrument hook-ups is advantageous.
