Docking Superintendent - VLCC. Lead the planning and execution of major VLCC dry-docking and repair projects for an established international shipping organisation. The role involves hands-on technical work at shipyards in China and covers the full dry-docking cycle, including early planning, repair specifications, shipyard evaluation, negotiation, execution, quality control and final completion. It also requires close coordination with Class, statutory authorities, shipyards, suppliers and vessel teams, with focus on major steel, machinery, cargo system and coating work. Requirements include Chief Engineer with substantial shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent, Docking Superintendent or comparable technical role, extensive VLCC experience, experience preparing docking and repair specifications, evaluating shipyards and supporting commercial negotiations, and strong experience managing repair progress, quality, cost control, and Class and statutory survey coordination.
