Jnr Technical Superintendent for a small shipping company operating vessels carrying various cargo around the UK, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. The role is split between office-based work on the Isle of Wight and visiting ships, with responsibilities including supporting the Technical Department, sourcing and purchasing ship stores and spare parts, monitoring vessel requirements, arranging deliveries, maintaining ordering systems, handling defect reports, supporting vessel surveys and safety audits, and building relationships with suppliers and port contacts. Strong technical and engineering background, excellent logistics, organisation, record-keeping, problem-solving and flexibility are required. A marine qualification is desirable but not essential. UK right to work and a full UK driving licence are required.
