About the role
Permanent Marine Superintendent | LPG role based in Glasgow/Clydebank with occasional travel. The position supports the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of vessels, providing marine operational guidance to fleet groups and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include vessel performance monitoring, inspections, incident investigation, continuous improvement of marine operations, and collaboration with onboard and shore-based teams. Requirements include Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2, unlimited tonnage), a Degree in Nautical Science or equivalent experience, sailing experience as a senior officer with command experience preferred, a strong background in marine superintendent or similar marine operations roles, experience in oil, chemical, or gas tanker operations, knowledge of ISM, ISPS, OCIMF and CDI vetting processes, experience conducting vessel inspections, audits, and ship visits, and strong communication, organisational, problem-solving, commercial awareness, and budget control skills. The business operates a five-day in-office pattern with hybrid working available after probation, up to twice a week, subject to business needs.
