About the role
Experienced Backhoe Operator needed for dredging operations on a dredging vessel. The role involves operating the backhoe dredger arm with precision and control, performing equipment checks, maintenance and minor repairs, assisting with deck operations such as mooring and anchor handling, monitoring dredging activities, following onboard safety protocols and drills, and reporting to the Chief Engineer or Dredge Master. Requirements include previous backhoe operating experience, preferably in a marine environment, valid STCW Basic Safety Training, valid STCW Medical Certificate, valid Seaman’s Book (SMBK), ability to read dredging plans and work to project requirements, good English communication skills, and availability for a 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off rotation.
