About the role

First Mate Trainee for a dredging vessel (TSHD), aimed at motivated Indonesian deck officers with offshore or high-intensity vessel experience. No prior dredging experience is required. The role offers hands-on training, exposure to European standards, and a pathway into dredging operations. Requirements include a valid COC Class I (Deck Officer), valid STCW certificates, medical fitness, a current Seafarer’s Book, experience on offshore or high-intensity vessels such as DP vessels, AHT/AHTS, construction, cable-laying or similar units, familiarity with continuous 24/7 offshore operations, Indonesian nationality, effective operational English, and a willingness to learn under supervision. Duties include safe navigation and watchkeeping, learning dredging and offshore procedures onboard TSHD vessels, supporting deck operations, assisting with QHSE, ISM, and PTW compliance, reporting and documentation, and participating in onboard training and drills. The position includes a competitive trainee salary, fixed rotation, and structured onboard training with experienced Masters and Chief Officers.
