About the role

Hotel Operations Manager – Cruise Sector. Shore-based permanent role based in Malta with travel to vessels as required. The position involves overseeing hotel operations across a vessel and associated shore-side activities for a leading cruise organisation. Responsibilities include leading the Hotel Operations Product Delivery function, driving operational excellence across hotel and F&B departments, developing and improving SOPs, managing budgets and cost control, monitoring operational performance, overseeing service quality standards, ensuring compliance with HACCP, US Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP), EU SHIPSAN and MARPOL regulations, supporting vessels during urgent operational matters, conducting vessel inspections, maintaining communication with onboard Hotel Leadership, assisting with contractual agreements, and presenting at board level when required. Candidate requirements include previous sea-going cruise experience, at least 2 years of onboard Hotel Operations Management experience, at least 5 years of F&B management experience ideally within the cruise sector, strong commercial and budget management expertise, excellent English, senior-level communication and presentation skills, and a solid understanding of cruise regulations and compliance frameworks. Preferred experience includes General Manager or Hotel Manager level, shore-side or corporate cruise experience, and managing multiple stakeholders across onboard and shoreside operations. Salary starts from 60K Euros gross per annum plus annual bonus, with relocation support available. Right to live and work in the EU is required and no visa sponsorship is available.
