About the role
Faststream is recruiting for a Garde Manger CDP to join a global cruise line. This role is suited to an experienced cold kitchen specialist with strong leadership skills in a high-performing culinary operation. The position offers a salary of $1800 to $2100 per month onboard, a 29 weeks on / 8 weeks off rotation, and travel benefits. The candidate should have 4 to 6 years of experience as a Garde Manger or Chef de Partie in cruise ships or 4/5-star hotels and restaurants, with strong experience in buffet, pantry, commissary, and cold kitchen operations. The role requires the ability to supervise, train, and motivate junior culinary staff, work in large high-volume galleys, and manage HACCP, food safety, sanitation, inventory, requisitions, and food cost control. Ice carving, fruit carving, and butter carving experience is an advantage. Strong communication and leadership skills are required.
