About the role

Faststream Recruitment is working with an established marine services business to recruit a Commercial Executive for its team in the South of France. The role supports business growth across West Africa, developing relationships with customers in the maritime, offshore and energy sectors. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing key accounts, managing tender submissions, preparing commercial proposals and quotations, supporting commercial negotiations through to contract award, and working with operational and technical teams to develop competitive solutions. The position also involves monitoring market activity, upcoming projects and business opportunities, and attending client meetings and industry events as required. Candidates should have previous experience in the maritime, shipping, offshore or oil and gas industry, with a background in business development, sales, account management, tendering, bidding or vessel chartering being suitable. Experience with shipowners, brokerage firms, offshore contractors or marine services businesses would be advantageous. Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and relationship-building skills are required, along with experience managing tenders, bids and commercial proposals. Fluent French and English are essential, and willingness to travel internationally is required. The business is an established international provider of services to the marine, offshore and energy sectors, with an established presence in West Africa and a focus on commercial growth.
