About the role
An established and growing marine engineering and vessel design consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Naval Architect to join its technical team. The role covers defence, commercial, workboat, offshore and specialist vessel projects from early concept through to detailed design and delivery. Responsibilities include leading naval architecture activities, developing and reviewing vessel designs, carrying out stability, weight, hydrodynamic, performance and seakeeping analysis, producing technical calculations and reports, supporting vessel modifications and refits, liaising with clients and suppliers, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. The ideal candidate has a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering or a related discipline, around 8 years' experience, and a strong understanding of vessel design and marine regulations/classification.
