Short-Term Gas Trader role with RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC in Chicago. The position focuses on managing and optimizing natural gas positions across North American markets, including physical and financial trading, prompt, day-ahead and intra-day opportunities, market analysis, scheduling, risk management, and cross-commodity coordination with power trading teams. Responsibilities include monitoring market fundamentals, pipeline and operational conditions, managing exposures within risk limits, contributing to P&L, and supporting trading analytics and tools development. Requirements include 3+ years of relevant natural gas experience, strong knowledge of U.S. gas markets and physical market mechanics, hands-on experience with scheduling and balancing, quantitative and analytical skills, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Salary is $125,000 to $175,000 plus discretionary bonus.
