Senior Cargo Operations Specialist in the Rotterdam area, Netherlands. Onshore role supporting heavy lift and project cargo operations by providing technical expertise, coordinating activities, managing risks, and improving processes. The position focuses on safe, efficient project execution and operational excellence across cargo superintendent and marine operations activities. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Maritime, Shipping, or a related field; 5–10 years of maritime experience in heavy lift and/or project cargo operations, preferably as a Port Captain or Cargo Superintendent; experience with cargo operations, sea fastening, and port operations on heavy lift vessels, deck carriers, MPPs, and semi-submersible vessels; and strong knowledge of port operations, maritime regulations, and safety standards. Responsibilities include providing technical and operational guidance, monitoring critical path activities, driving continuous improvement, leading lessons learned, supporting project alignment, reviewing and leading cargo operations planning and documentation, training and mentoring new CSIs, acting as operational back-up CSI, and reporting port operation performance and critical issues.
