About the role
Permanent, full-time role supporting an established national organisation responsible for offshore safety regulation in Greece. The position leads the Offshore Safety General Directorate and Competent Authority, overseeing the Regulations & Compliance and Inspections Directorates. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, implementation of the national and European offshore safety framework, preparation of regulations and guidance, oversight of inspections and compliance reviews, management of safety risks and incidents, and representation before national, European, and international bodies. Requirements include a relevant technical degree, at least 15 years of experience with 5 years in leadership, knowledge of Law 4409/2016 and the European offshore safety framework, experience in HSE policy, compliance, inspections, or technical assurance, and strong Greek and English language skills. Postgraduate qualification and public authority or regulator experience are preferred. Based in Athens. Salary to be discussed.
