This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marine engineering professional to play a key role in supporting a fleet of high-speed passenger vessels. The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for electrical systems across the fleet while contributing to the wider management of vessel maintenance, reliability, compliance, dry docks, modifications, and new build projects. Working within a 24/7 operational environment, this role requires a proactive and hands-on technical leader who can work closely with onboard engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and senior stakeholders to ensure vessels operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities Provide expert technical support and guidance to vessel and shore-based engineering teams, with particular focus on electrical systems and equipment. Lead investigations into electrical and technical failures, identifying root causes and implementing long-term corrective actions. Manage and oversee vessel defects, ensuring timely resolution through effective coordination with suppliers and contractors. Support the planning, specification, execution, and technical oversight of dry docks, refits, upgrades, and modification projects. Act as a key stakeholder in fleet enhancement projects, providing technical expertise for electrical upgrades, automation improvements, propulsion systems, and new vessel initiatives. Monitor fleet reliability and maintenance trends, implementing improvements to increase operational availability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, MCA, ISM, and other applicable maritime regulations. Support warranty claims, insurance claims, budget management, and KPI reporting. Develop technical documentation, maintenance strategies, operating procedures, and training materials for engineering teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, and regulatory bodies. About You We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have: Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent, Marine Superintendent, Electrical Superintendent, or senior shore-based marine engineering professional. A marine engineering qualification with a electrical bias . Experience managing vessel electrical systems, power generation, distribution, automation, control systems, and fault diagnosis. Knowledge of high-speed craft propulsion systems and vessel performance management. Experience working with high-speed aluminium vessels would be highly advantageous. Experience managing statutory surveys, classification requirements, and regulatory compliance. Dry dock, refit, upgrade, or new build project experience. Understanding of ISM compliance and Safety Management Systems. Strong project management, supplier management, and budget control experience. The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced operational environment where safety, reliability, and customer service are critical. Why Apply?
