The Barge Master is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an immersion pontoon during the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link Project. The role oversees marine operations, vessel positioning, ballast, mooring, anchoring, and crew coordination, and maintains operational control during offshore work. Responsibilities include supervising the onboard crew, coordinating support vessels, monitoring marine equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The position requires experience as a Barge Master or Master, offshore marine construction or dredging experience, STCW certification, a Seafarer Medical Certificate, and an appropriate Certificate of Competency. Strong knowledge of marine safety management systems and permit-to-work procedures, as well as leadership and communication skills, are required.
