About the role
UTM Consultants are seeking a Civil Work Engineer for a 6-month contract outside IR35 on the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture project in Point of Ayr. The role is a 5.5-day week, Monday to Saturday. Responsibilities include technical design, verification and checking under the Civil and Structural Lead, coordinating with project specialists and designers, preparing BOQ and MTO documents, developing drainage, sewage and plumbing layouts, producing foundation and concrete structure studies, checking discipline and vendor documents, verifying structural BIM models, supervising civil design and construction drawings, supporting discipline follow-up activities, and providing field engineering support at site. Experience in Oil & Gas and energy projects is required. Education: BSc Civil Engineering. Certification: BIM coordinator. Technical skill: Eurocode. IT skills include Office 365, Excel, Mat 3D, Foundation 3D, SP3D and Naviswork. Start date: 28 September 2026. Duration: 24 weeks.
