About the role
TOS is looking for a ship's cook to join its pool for various Rijkswaterstaat vessels operating in the Netherlands and on and around the North Sea. The role involves preparing meals on board, managing provisions, and working independently in a compact galley while supporting the crew on diverse vessels used for navigation marking, oil spill response, fisheries research, surveying, and coast guard activities. Candidates should be available during leave or preferably on a continuous basis, have the relevant seafarer qualification, valid STCW certificates, a medical examination and a valid seamans book, and preferably a driving licence B. Dutch language skills and a proactive, flexible attitude are required. Salary starts from €22.21 per hour excluding allowances, with weekly pay and short assignments of up to 6 days.
