About the role
2nd Engineer for a dredging fleet. The role involves assisting the Chief Engineer in managing the engine room and machinery, overseeing maintenance and repair of onboard systems, performing inspections and troubleshooting, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, keeping maintenance records, and working closely with deck and technical crew. Work takes place on dredging or land reclamation projects in different locations around and outside Europe. Rotation is 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off. Requirements include experience as a 2nd Engineer in the dredging sector, a valid certificate of competence, and STCW certifications including Medical, Basic Safety, Advanced Fire Fighting, Medical First Aid, Proficiency in Survival Craft other than Fast Rescue Boats, and Designated Security Duties. Preferred experience includes dredging operations and knowledge of international maritime regulations.
