About the role

An organisation is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer to support complex offshore vessel projects worldwide. The role focuses on Dynamic Positioning (DP) and marine power system projects, including reviewing marine electrical system designs, supporting DP assurance activities, assessing vessel power generation and redundancy arrangements, reviewing electrical failure scenarios and FMEA activities, supporting PMS and IAS reviews, assessing automation and control architectures, reviewing propulsion, thruster, and VFD systems, supporting vessel trials and commissioning activities, and producing technical reports and engineering documentation. The position offers exposure to modern DP vessels, hybrid power solutions, and emerging decarbonisation technologies. Relevant backgrounds include marine electrical engineering, electrical & instrumentation engineering, control systems engineering, automation engineering, power systems engineering, electrical design engineering, and marine equipment or technology suppliers. A degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Automation, or a related engineering discipline is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Experience with marine electrical power systems, vessel power generation and distribution, closed bus power plant configurations, electrical protection systems, PMS, IAS, VFDs, thruster control systems, battery energy storage systems, and hybrid marine power systems is highly advantageous.
