About the role

Faststream is partnering with an established global maritime organisation to recruit an experienced Head of AI & Digital Transformation. This strategic leadership role is responsible for developing the company's AI roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, and delivering AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the organisation's AI and digital transformation strategy, leading enterprise-wide AI initiatives from concept through implementation, partnering with business leaders to identify high-impact AI use cases, driving AI governance, innovation and change management, and building relationships with technology partners and external stakeholders. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field; proven senior leadership experience in AI, digital transformation, technology or innovation leadership; familiarity with China markets and Chinese language fluency; strong hands-on knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), data analytics and automation technologies; experience developing AI strategies and translating business challenges into scalable technology solutions; ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders; strong commercial acumen and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience within shipping, maritime, logistics or other asset-intensive industries is highly advantageous.
