Vetting Superintendent - VLCC. An established international shipping organisation is seeking a hands-on Vetting Superintendent to support VLCC inspection, vetting readiness and marine compliance across tanker operations. The role involves extensive international travel and vessel attendance worldwide to conduct inspections, identify deficiencies, assess readiness for external inspections, and work with ship and shore teams to close gaps and improve compliance standards. Responsibilities include pre-vetting inspections, gap analysis, SIRE / SIRE 2.0 readiness, OCIMF requirements, PSC and Flag State inspections, follow-up and close-out of findings, and monitoring compliance with ISM, ISPS and MARPOL requirements. The position is based in India or China and is for candidates currently located in either country.
