Senior Naval Architect position with an established and growing marine engineering and vessel design consultancy working across defence, commercial, workboat, offshore and specialist vessel projects. The role involves leading naval architecture activities, developing and reviewing vessel designs from concept to detailed design, carrying out stability, weight, hydrodynamic, performance and seakeeping analysis, producing technical calculations and reports, supporting modifications, refits and life-extension projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, liaising with clients, shipyards, suppliers and classification societies, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. The company seeks a degree-qualified naval architect or marine engineering professional with around 8 years' experience, strong vessel design and marine regulations knowledge, and experience with technical calculations, project management and relevant design software. Desirable experience includes chartership progress, defence or naval vessel work, vessel modification or conversion, FEA/structural analysis, and specialist craft.
