About the role
TOS is seeking experienced, Dutch-speaking inland navigation deckhands to support Rijkswaterstaat on a pool basis or during leave periods. The role involves working on a variety of vessels across different functions, including marking waterways, oil spill response, fisheries research, measurements, coast guard activities, buoyage, and customs work. Responsibilities are varied deck duties and contributing to the day-to-day operation of the vessel. Requirements include basic safety and medical inland navigation certification, a service record book for deckhand, teamwork skills, good communication, and preferably a B driving licence. The work is in the Netherlands on different vessels, with pay according to the CAO Rijk and an all-in gross hourly rate of €22.71 excluding allowances.
