A leading marine assurance and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Marine Engineer - DP Assurance Consultant to join its Dynamic Positioning team in Aberdeen. The role involves providing independent technical assurance to clients across offshore energy and marine sectors, supporting DP system assurance, vessel verification, risk assessment, and operational readiness. Key responsibilities include attending offshore vessels as an independent technical witness during DP trials, reviewing and developing DP FMEA studies, authoring DP proving trials programmes, assessing vessel DP capability and redundancy concepts, supporting marine risk assessments and SIMOPS evaluations, and developing technical reports and client deliverables. The position suits a marine engineer with offshore vessel experience, practical Dynamic Positioning experience, and knowledge of DP Class 2 or DP Class 3 vessels, marine regulatory requirements, class rules, industry standards, and IMCA guidance.
