General Manager - Offshore Ship Management. Faststream Recruitment is partnering with an established and growing ship management organisation to appoint a General Manager for a key leadership position. Managing a fleet of offshore vessels, this role requires a commercially minded maritime leader who can drive operational excellence while identifying opportunities for business growth, client development, and long-term strategic success. Reporting directly to the MD, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management and performance of the organisation, providing leadership across marine operations, technical management, HSEQ, commercial activities, and business development. Key responsibilities include leading overall operations and strategic direction, driving business growth, developing relationships with vessel owners, charterers, and industry stakeholders, providing leadership to senior management teams, ensuring safety, quality, environmental compliance, overseeing management systems, supporting commercial decision-making, chairing management review meetings, leading emergency response activities, and ensuring the organisation is appropriately resourced. Requirements include proven experience in a senior leadership role within ship management, marine services, or offshore vessel operations, a strong offshore maritime background, success in business development, client management, and commercial strategy, and experience managing multidisciplinary teams and leading organisational growth. Degree qualified or equivalent maritime industry experience is required.
