About the role
A growing offshore and marine engineering consultancy is seeking a Engineer specialising in Naval Architecture to provide technical leadership and assurance across complex, high-risk projects. This senior role involves setting engineering standards, reviewing and approving structural, lifting and marine analyses, managing technical and operational risk, supporting bids and live operations, delivering work to clients and marine warranty surveyors, mentoring engineers, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires a degree in Naval Architecture or a closely related discipline, at least 2 years of marine or offshore engineering delivery experience, hands-on experience with ANSYS or equivalent FEA and OrcaFlex, and strong knowledge of structural design, stability, motions and marine operations. Experience with transport, sea fastening, lifting and marine execution engineering is required, along with sound judgement under pressure and strong communication skills. Chartered Engineer status, heavy lift, cable installation or marine warranty survey experience, and offshore or international project exposure are desirable.
