About the role
An international maritime organisation is recruiting a Marine Superintendent to support LPG vessel operations in Antwerp. The role involves supporting the safe and compliant day-to-day operation of assigned LPG vessels, providing marine, operational and HSEQ guidance to ship and shore-based teams, ensuring Safety Management System requirements and relevant regulations and standards are implemented, supporting safe LPG cargo operations, inspection readiness, continuous improvement, risk management, incident investigations, security matters and emergency preparedness. The role also includes coordinating inspections and audits, closing out deficiencies, and supporting fleet emergency response activities. Candidates should have a degree in Nautical Sciences or an equivalent maritime qualification, STCW Management Level certification, at least 3 years’ senior management experience onboard, strong LPG vessel and cargo operations experience, knowledge of gas carrier operations and safety requirements, knowledge of IMO regulations and relevant industry standards, practical knowledge of mooring operations and weather forecasting, and fluency in English.
