About the role
Faststream Recruitment is recruiting a Technical Superintendent for an international maritime organisation in Antwerp. The role involves day-to-day technical management of assigned marine assets, supporting infrastructure projects, asset conversions, commissioning, dry dockings, repairs, inspections and wider technical development work. Responsibilities include maintaining safe, reliable and compliant operations; coordinating with onboard and shore-based teams, suppliers, shipyards and class societies; preparing repair specifications; monitoring technical performance and budgets; and supporting emergency response activities. The candidate should have a technical qualification in marine engineering, mechanical engineering, naval architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent maritime experience, along with at least 3 years' experience in technical project management within the maritime industry or previous seagoing experience as Second Engineer or Chief Engineer. Good knowledge of maritime regulations, class requirements, vessel machinery, marine systems and safe working practices is required. The role is based in Antwerp and offers a permanent position with a competitive benefits package.
