E&I Technician Location: Grangemouth, Falkirk, Scotland Salary: Annual salary subject to experience Contract Type: Permanent Work Type: Full Time Job Ref: V-402246 E&I Technician – Grangemouth NRL NRL is looking for an experienced E&I Technician to join a maintenance team based in Grangemouth. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure safe maintenance of all equipment, complying with HSE standards, legislation, and the company Safety CharterCarry out technical appraisal of new and emergent work requests to define remediation scopeExecute all work in line with permit-to-work systems, work packs, procedures, and agreed schedulesPerform fault finding, diagnose issues, and identify cost-effective solutions to prevent reoccurrenceSupport predictive and preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and availabilityConduct dynamic risk assessments (RA) before and during all tasksComplete all required quality assurance (QA) documentation in line with work packs and proceduresPlan and schedule own preventative maintenance (PM) activitiesCarry out condition monitoring on plant and equipmentReport delays or issues to the Supervisor to maximise team productivity and efficiencyAssess readiness of upcoming work scopes and take action to resolve any issuesMaintain excellent housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas are left in a safe and acceptable conditionEnsure all ATEX equipment in hazardous areas is inspected and maintained in line with legislation across its lifecycleUndertake basic rigging and lifting activities, including producing method statements and risk assessments where requiredSupport and carry out mechanical tasks where neededKnowledge, Skills & Experience RequiredSVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and Instrument & Control Engineering (or equivalent)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including:P&IDsElectrical schematicsInstrument loop drawingsDesirableHNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)HNC in Measurement & Control Engineering (or equivalent)CompEx 01–04 certificationExperience working on a top-tier COMAH siteBehavioural CompetenciesStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skillsAbility to influence and collaborate with othersResults-driven with a proactive approachResilient and capable of working in a fast-paced environmentClient looking for local candidates for this full time positionThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
