About the role
The Wind Turbine Repair Specialist conducts inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and corrective maintenance on wind turbine components across Avangrid’s onshore fleet. The role works with Field Operations and O&M Engineering to support technical guidance, end-of-warranty and contract inspections, documentation, root cause analysis, failure trend reporting, supplier corrective action review, testing, and evaluation of repair solutions. It also supports training, procedure development, and operational decisions for wind turbines. The position requires at least 5 years of wind energy experience, or equivalent technical experience, with knowledge of wind turbine drivetrains, blades, gearboxes, generators, and related platforms. The role involves significant travel within the United States and physical work at height.
