About the role
Faststream Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, premium British cruise line to recruit an experienced Senior IT Officer for its fleet. The role involves delivering onboard technical support to crew and guests, managing and optimising IT infrastructure, and ensuring maximum system availability and excellent end-user service. The Senior IT Officer will also lead, mentor, and support IT Officers onboard while acting as the senior IT representative and key liaison between shipboard teams and shoreside IT. Requirements include previous cruise ship experience as IT Officer or Senior IT Officer, maintenance and troubleshooting of shipboard hardware and software systems including Wi-Fi, door access systems, POS, SPMS, MMS, AMOS, MXP, server and switch infrastructure, experience with VSAT and maritime connectivity, and strong troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, management, and communication skills. The offer includes a 2 months on / 2 months off rotation, a salary of $3987 per month plus accumulated leave pay at the end of each contract, and a start date in October 2026.
