About the role
Join a well-established international ship management organisation as a Fleet Superintendent. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the role carries full technical responsibility for an assigned fleet of vessels, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations. This shore-based position involves close coordination with vessel crews, clients and internal teams to support technical management, maintenance planning and operational performance. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, repairs, dry dockings, modifications and statutory surveys; ensuring compliance with Flag State, Class and company requirements; monitoring technical performance; managing planned maintenance systems and technical records; supporting onboard teams; liaising with owners and clients; preparing vessels for inspections; managing technical budgets; participating in senior officer selection and performance reviews; identifying technical risks; and conducting vessel visits. Requirements include a recognised Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent maritime qualification, relevant sailing or shore-based technical management experience, strong knowledge of vessel maintenance and compliance, excellent organisational and communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across several vessels.
