Docking Superintendent - VLCC. Lead the planning and execution of major VLCC dry-docking and repair projects for an established international shipping organisation. This hands-on technical role involves significant shipyard involvement in China and covers the full dry-docking cycle, including planning, repair specifications, shipyard evaluation, negotiation, execution, quality control, and final completion. The role requires close coordination with Class, statutory authorities, shipyards, suppliers, and vessel teams, with focus on major steel, machinery, cargo system, and coating work. Requirements include Chief Engineer background with substantial shore-based experience in a Technical Superintendent, Docking Superintendent, or similar role, extensive VLCC dry-docking experience, experience preparing repair specifications, evaluating shipyards, supporting commercial negotiations, and managing repair progress, quality, cost control, and survey coordination.
