The role involves assisting the Chief Engineer and First Engineer with the safe and efficient operation of engine room machinery and systems, overseeing daily engine room operations, leading junior engineering officers and ratings, monitoring maintenance schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. Requirements include a 2nd Engineer unlimited CoC, a minimum of 2 contracts sailing as 2nd Engineer on cruise ships over 50,000 GT, strong leadership and team management skills, and excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment. The position offers €8400 per month on board and a 4 month on 2 month off rotation.
