Chief Engineer – ASD Tug. An experienced Chief Engineer is sought for an ASD tug operating in the Netherlands and involved in offshore operations. The role is for a Single Engineer with tug experience and responsibility for the vessel’s overall technical operation and maintenance. Duties include planned maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring the vessel remains safe, reliable, and ready for offshore work. The position requires independence, practical engineering skills, and the ability to respond effectively to technical issues at sea. Requirements include previous experience as Chief Engineer or Single Engineer on tugboats, solid knowledge of main and auxiliary engines and vessel machinery, a valid STCW certificate, an unlimited Chief Engineer licence, valid medicals, and a current seaman’s book. A small, professional crew and a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation are offered.
