About the role
2nd Engineer required to join a Chemical/Oil Tanker (PRIME, Flag: NIS). Position: 2nd Engineer (2/Eng). Trading area: USA Canada. Boarding date: 02.12.2026. Contract duration: 2 months. Salary: 12200 USD per month. Requirements include previous sailing experience as Second Engineer or extensive experience as Third Engineer on similar vessel types, strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, fuel systems, boilers, and engine room maintenance, familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems and engine room reporting procedures, good understanding of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW regulations, experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, leadership skills to supervise and train engine department personnel, good command of written and spoken English, computer literacy and proficiency in vessel reporting systems, and a valid seafarer medical certificate with all mandatory STCW training certificates.
