Senior Agency Operator (Port Agent) for a permanent role with a reputable shipping agency based in Kent. The South East UK team covers the Thames, Medway, Sheerness, Dover, Felixstowe and East Anglia. Responsibilities include coordinating port appointments from enquiry through port call and FDA stage, managing vendors and suppliers, working with port authorities and terminal service providers, preparing PDAs and pre-funding requests, handling pre-arrival documentation, booking port services such as pilots, towage and lines, arranging vessel surveys and inspections, managing customs clearances, and boarding vessels on arrival and departure. Requirements include good knowledge of port operations, shipping or port agency, transferable logistics or travel sector experience, strong customer-facing experience in shipping or maritime, proficiency with Microsoft Office, office-based corporate experience with on-call duties, a full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.
