About the role
2nd Engineer required to join a Chemical/Oil Tanker (PRIME, Flag: NIS). Position: 2nd Engineer (2/Eng). Trading area: USA/Canada. Boarding date: 2026-12-02. Contract duration: 2 months. Salary: 12,200 USD per month. Requirements include previous sailing experience as Second Engineer or extensive experience as Third Engineer on similar vessel types, strong knowledge of marine diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, fuel systems, boilers, and engine room maintenance, familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems and engine room reporting procedures, good understanding of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and STCW regulations, experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, leadership skills, good command of written and spoken English, computer literacy, and a valid seafarer medical certificate with mandatory STCW training certificates.
