Team Leader (2nd Officer / 3rd Officer) – Storage Vessel. Contract role for a permanently stationed non-trading vessel in Norway. The vessel is a former chemical tanker operated as a storage vessel alongside the quay. Rotation is 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off. Salary is 50,000 NOK per month, with 25% Norwegian tax. Requirements include previous tanker experience, preferably on chemical tankers; storage vessel experience; knowledge of cargo operations, vessel stability calculations, tanks, cargo systems and related vessel operations; supervisory and team-leading experience; strong leadership, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills; the ability to work independently; good English; and good computer skills. Main responsibilities include overall cargo handling and cargo operations, tank cleaning and cargo-related equipment, monitoring cargo onboard, ballast and de-ballast operations, safety and anti-pollution drills, coordination with arriving vessels, Shipowner and Factory, supervision of a 4-person crew per shift, and maintaining documentation and operational records.
