Supervisor - Gas Construction. Field role in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Supervises employees in the construction, operations, and maintenance of gas distribution and transmission systems. Plans, schedules, and directs new construction, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training activities. Ensures work is completed in accordance with construction standards, policies, procedures, safety rules, and budgets. Responsibilities include supervising company employees and subcontractor crews, preparing reports and related paperwork, reviewing as-built drawings and leak repair documentation, and maintaining accurate company records. Requires knowledge of underground gas construction, natural gas properties, gas leak detection, CBYD regulations, and state and federal pipeline safety regulations, along with a valid driver’s license and DOT operator qualifications. On-call rotational assignment required. Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of underground construction and maintenance experience, associate’s degree with 7+ years, or high school diploma with 10+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience with union and non-union workforce preferred.
