A leading cruise line is seeking a Stage Technician to join its fleet. The role supports the technical execution of onboard entertainment, including setup, operation, and breakdown of shows and events. Duties include backstage support, equipment handling, minor maintenance, and helping ensure smooth venue operations. Responsibilities include show support, event and venue support, maintenance and inventory tasks, and administrative duties such as meetings, trainings, and updating backstage track sheets. The role also requires following company policies and participating in emergency drills. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, AV, Sound, or Lighting preferred. Applicants should have 1–2 years of experience with stage equipment and prop handling, with a background in technical theater preferred. Knowledge of sound, lighting, rigging, and technical theater operations is required, along with the ability to perform minor repairs such as carpentry and painting. Familiarity with shipboard production environments and industry-related software is a plus. Candidates must pass a company medical evaluation, have full mobility, be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs, and have good visual and auditory acuity. Fluent spoken and written English is required.
