Faststream is partnering with a leading international shipowner to recruit a Technical Superintendent for its Petroleum Fleet Operations team in Houston. The role involves technical management of a modern tanker fleet, including maintenance planning, repairs, dry dockings, vessel performance monitoring, compliance with class, flag state, PSC and SIRE requirements, budget management, and coordination with shipboard and shore-based teams, contractors, suppliers and repair yards. Requirements include a Class 1 Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency or Maritime Engineering degree, sailing experience as a Chief Engineer ideally on oil tankers, previous experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a shore-based technical management role, and strong knowledge of planned maintenance, dry docking, statutory surveys and regulatory compliance.
