About the role
Electrical & Mechanical Technician required for balance of plant work supporting the day-to-day operation and maintenance of offshore windfarm assets, including foundations, offshore and onshore substations, and onsite base facilities. Duties include preventative and corrective maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting wind turbine cranes and foundation equipment, assisting with HV team and specialist contractors, fault finding, retro fit solutions, audits and inspections, scheduled maintenance, and support with HV switching, isolation and earthing under instruction. The role involves both onshore and offshore working. Applicants should have an electrical qualification or strong electrical competence, experience maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and good planning, reporting, communication, and safety skills. Experience in offshore wind, crane maintenance, or hydraulic disciplines is desirable.
