Marine Superintendent – Dry Bulk. Faststream Recruitment is partnering with an established international ship management organisation to appoint an experienced Marine Superintendent to oversee a fleet of dry bulk vessels based in Singapore. The role is suited to a qualified Master Mariner who has transitioned ashore and gained hands-on experience managing marine operations within a dry bulk fleet, ideally in a third-party ship management environment. Responsibilities include overseeing safe and efficient marine operations, providing operational guidance to vessel Masters and crew, conducting vessel inspections, navigational audits and marine safety assessments, monitoring compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state requirements, supporting incident investigations and corrective actions, liaising with shipowners, charterers and classification societies, and driving continuous improvement in fleet safety and operational performance. Requirements include Master Mariner (STCW II/2) with previous command experience on dry bulk vessels, shore-based experience in a Marine Superintendent or comparable fleet management role, sound knowledge of dry bulk vessel operations and marine safety, strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections.
