About the role
Chief Officer required for a small Norwegian general cargo vessel in Scotland. The position includes an initial 14-day onboard training period followed by one working rotation, with an opportunity for permanent employment after the initial period. Crew change will be via Aberdeen with road transfer to Kyle of Lochalsh. Requirements include a D3 Certificate of Competency, valid medical certificate, GOC, SSO or ISPS certification, ECDIS certification, valid passport, substantial sea time and Chief Officer experience, ability to operate independently during watch in rough seas and strong winds, strong leadership skills, ability to supervise and motivate crew, and ability to follow up maintenance tasks in Premaster. UK ETA must be obtained before travel.
