About the role

Job Title: HSE Advisor Employment Type: CONTRACTOR Structured Description: UTM Consultants are currently looking for a HSE Advisor to work for a large wind farm developer for a UK project. As an HSE Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of innovative projects that power communities across the UK and Northern Europe. If you’re passionate about fostering a strong safety culture and making a tangible difference in complex offshore environments, this opportunity is for you. Overview: You will act as the primary point of contact for QHSE support across multiple sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely from planning to execution. Supporting our Generation sites and technical teams, you'll promote best practices, lead safety initiatives, and contribute to a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility. This hybrid role offers the chance to work in offices in Grimsby or Barrow-in-Furness, with offshore travel expected, supporting offshore teams and operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the safe planning, mobilization, and execution of projects including Heavy Lift, Major Component Exchanges, and Special Tasks. Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response standards. Support offshore presence through safety inspections, emergency drills, and exercises onboard vessels and turbines. Investigate incidents, ensure proper registrations, and promote learning insights across teams. Identify opportunities for standardization and procedural improvements, leading related projects. Facilitate HAZID sessions and support assurance activities to uphold safety performance standards. Must-Have Qualifications: Experience working in offshore environments, including O&G or wind. Familiarity with offshore safety protocols and risk management, including bowties, barrier management, performance standards, and assurance activities. Full GWO certification including Enhanced First Aid for offshore wind. OGUK medical certificate, including Chester Step. Technical background with a NEBOSH general certificate (or higher). Proven ability to run small projects and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills, approachable, and able to work across different levels of the organization. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience facilitating HAZID sessions. Knowledge of offshore safety culture development and continuous improvement activities.
