About the role

Experienced MMA Welders are required for project work in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The role involves 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-hour shifts, starting mid-to-end November. The position is paid under the NAECI agreement with full IBA, confined space payment, and lodge provided due to project location. Duties include welding safety-critical components and high-integrity pipework; reading and interpreting engineering drawings, welding procedures, isometric drawings, and contract specifications; preparing materials and equipment; setting up welding equipment; welding large-bore and small-bore pipework across a range of materials; inspecting weld preparations and completed weld joints; identifying defects and non-conformances; supporting inspection activities; completing quality documentation; and working in line with permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, POWRA requirements, and site safety procedures. Requirements include a recognized Welding Apprenticeship or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 in Welding or equivalent certification, current welding qualifications to ISO 9606 or ASME IX, a valid CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent, and IOSH Managing Safely as desirable. At least two years of production welding experience in an industrial environment is required, along with experience in high-integrity pipework and safety-critical components. Proficiency in MMA welding is required, and Flux Core and YIG would be beneficial. Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, thermal power generation, or nuclear sectors is desirable.
