About the role

Team Recruitment is seeking a Hydraulic Technician for a 3/4 rota in the North Sea onboard a client FPSO. This is a contract position running until December 2027. The role reports to the Mechanical Lead and serves as a hydraulic technical focal point onshore, supporting offshore installations with hydraulic maintenance requirements. Responsibilities include making cost-effective and safety-focused decisions regarding repair, maintenance, and modifications of installation equipment; reviewing planned maintenance routines; liaising with vendors for offshore support; preparing and reviewing engineering work packs and close-out reports; determining spare parts requirements; coordinating lube oil and grease supply; preparing material and service requisitions, offshore visit request forms, modification requests, and specifications for additional equipment; contributing to continuous improvement; maintaining procedures and corporate standards; and assisting the onshore emergency organization when required. Requirements include strong hydraulic technician experience in a North Sea environment, relevant mechanical hydraulic engineering experience, excellent written and spoken English, computer literacy for discipline calculations and document processing, technical problem-solving ability, knowledge of relevant codes and standards, awareness of safety culture in the oil and gas industry, and good understanding of a multicultural 24/7 production environment. A valid survival certificate and offshore medical are required, along with any other standard prerequisites for offshore travel.
